SO.CAP.USA Extensions are Remy hair, which means all the cuticles run in the same direction, it blends beautifully with your own natural hair with no tangles. These particular extensions are great for adding length and body to your hair. They are designed for clients who are willing to perform daily maintenance on their hair… they are NOT for a client who wants easy wash and style hair.
Simplicity semi-permanent Hair Extensions
Simplicity Hair Extensions, the newest and easiest form in semi-permanent hair extensions. Can be applied to a full head in one hour!!
These extensions use a special adhesive that bonds the hair to your natural hair. As always with any of our extensions a detailed consultation is required so that we can order the correct hair for you and your needs. This hair is unique because you can reuse the hair when you come back to the salon to get them removed and cleaned.
Simplicity Hair Extensions will last you around 4 to 6 weeks of long full hair. The reason you would want to get the extensions taken out is because just like color, your hair will grow in its natural fashion and will develop a root. Taking the extensions out will allow us to put them back in just like new! When you come back to get them removed, new adhesive can be applied and extensions will then be ready for use. glue-in or clip-in Hair Extensions 
At Split Endz Salon we also cater to the client who does not want hair extensions that are as semi-permanent as the So-Cap and the Simplicity Hair Extensions.
If you are interested in extensions for a one night event or just want to try having long full hair for a day or two you have the option to use glue-in or clip-in extensions. If a client wants to purchase hair from a local hair distribution outlet they can or we could order the hair upon request after a brief consultation. The hair should be 100% Natural Remy hair so that the hair can be flat ironed or curled.
The clip-in extensions use the same hair as the glue-in but require a little more work because the client will have to buy clips and sew the clips one-by-one onto the ends of the hair so they can be clipped into the clients natural hair. The advantage of the clip in are that they can be put in and taken out of your hair as much as you want.
Hair Extension Maintenance Tips :
- Never Go To Bed with Wet Hair!
- If you do, tangles will occur and it may be difficult to untangle them once they have dried.
- Prevention of tangles is the single most important aspect of hair extensions.
- Use only the hair products recommended by your hairstylist for your extensions.
- Wait 48 hours before shampooing your hair extensions.
- You may rinse your hair or use a recommended spray leave-in conditioner.
Hair Extension – How To Tips :
- You should not wash your hair with your head facing downwards. Always tilt your head back and work the
shampoo from scalp to ends.When shampooing, DO NOT scrub your hair excessively. Instead, massage your scalp and gently work the shampoo into the ends. Flood rinse hair thoroughly. Use a conditioner based on the hairstylist’s instructions. Brush hair gently from scalp to ends. When wet, use the special SO.CAP. USA loop brush. - When hair is dry, use a soft bristle brush.
- When styling, DO NOT use any oil based products. Using an oil based product may cause the extensions to slip out. If you do use an oil based product while home and an extension falls out, you will be charged to reapply the extension.
- Never dry with a scrubbing action. Wrap your head with a towel so it may absorb the excess water
- Just like your own natural hair, you should avoid prolonged exposure to water containing high amounts of chlorine such as a pool or jacuzzi. If you do expose your SO.CAP. USA Hair Extensions to these chemicals, rinse thoroughly and use SO.CAP. USA Shampoo and Conditioner. Apply conditioner and let set for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. ALWAYS avoid hot water.
- It is normal to lose a few extensions per month. If this does happen, DO NOT PANIC, Simply return to your extension hairstylist to have them replaced.
Remember: the abuse or misuse of styling tools such as; combs, brushes, blow dryers, hot irons, hot rollers as well as over the counter hair products may result in damaging your hair extensions. Speak to your extensionist. for more information about damaging styling tools and recommendations for safe alternatives.
